Aviary Encroaches On Adobe Illustrator With Raven, The First Vector Graphics Editor For The Web .

A couple of months ago this same company launched an online photoshop-type program.  While it wasn’t quite photoshop, it had the majority of the features that I would use.  The programs are built in FLEX from Adobe.  

With programs like this, the web, or rather the browser will replace the desktop OS.  This is why Microsoft tried to kill Netscape.  

Apple is gaining some market share right now because they figured out that people only do a few things on their computer and if you integrate it together well, people will buy your computer.  Once all your photos, music, videos, contacts, blogs, etc. are on the web as SaaS, whoever integrates that all together in a browser or portal will be huge.

Evernote allows you to easily capture information in any environment using whatever device or platform you find most convenient, and makes this information accessible and search-able at any time, from anywhere.

It is a system that allows the My Life Bits type virtual memory that I am so enamored with.  One of the neat things about it is that it has a text recognition algorithm in it that allows it to search images for words.  Those words are then search-able in you database.
